FORM DEVELOPMENT:
The following are some sketches of possible forms for the exhibition space. These forms take on a more organic approach to resemble the shape of the river and the scenic landscapes of the city. It has to be designed to be almost a 'kit of parts', as it needs to easily transport to different locations. One main idea is creating a base that detaches into many parts to fit on a truck and having a series of slots on the base were many separate 'layers' can slide into and create a fully enclosed form. This idea uses light weight materials, possible PVC and LED lighting to create different lighting installations at night, and a possible vine canopy over the structure to resemble the nature orientated city. There are also some sketches of some play/seating/interactive ideas and concepts. These are all starting ideas which I will need to develop a lot more and start to model up in Revit to play with the design:
